Resonance (2022)
"Resonance" (2022) delves into the notion of self as both receiver and observer. Each individual possesses unique vibrations, and resonance occurs when we embrace the natural frequencies around us. This project invites you to connect with your deepest desires and experience elevated vibrations.
In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to lose touch with our inner vibrations and lose sight of our true desires and sources of happiness. Often, we feel like we're on autopilot, unaware of the world around us and within ourselves. Through "Resonance," I aim to remind people of the significance of their own lives and their place in the vast universe.
The combination of aluminum mesh and rope-shaped sculptures symbolizes the interconnection and entanglement of our lives. The overlapped wave imagery represents resonating energy.
This visual art installation draws a conceptual parallel between the natural elements of oysters and water and the essence of femininity. Art installations like this often employ symbolism to create connections between various elements, suggesting a thematic resonance.
The choice of oysters could relate to their historical symbolism of fertility and femininity, as well as their role in the ecosystem as filters that purify water—perhaps implying a cleansing or nurturing role often associated with womanhood. The water element might symbolize life, fluidity, and change, qualities that can also be metaphorically linked to the idea of femininity.
The materials and their presentation—here, appearing as a mesh structure on the floor, illuminated by a single spotlight—aim to evoke the intricate and interconnected nature of these concepts, inviting viewers to contemplate their relationship.
